 Southern Railway to run Tirunelveli - Thiruvannamalai special train

The Southern Railway has announced special fare special trains to clear extra rush of passengers during the Karthigai Deepam festival. The trains will be operated from Coimbatore, Thiruvannamalai, Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli.

Number 06024 Tirunelveli - Tiruvannamalai special fare special train will leave Tirunelveli at 5pm on December 1 and reach Tiruvannamalai at 7am the next day.

Number 06023 Tiruvannamalai - Tirunelveli special fare special train will leave Tiruvannamalai at 11.30pm on December 2 and reach Tirunelveli at 11.45am the next day.

 IT sleuths raided the premises of Seyadu Group of Companies and houses of their owners in different parts of the state, including Madurai, Tirunelveli, Tiruchy and Coimbatore. It is said that IT department got inputs about the misappropriation of funds in the firm, based on which the raid was carried out.

Last year the brutal murder of a young techie named Swathi, under broad daylight in Nungambakkam Railway station in Chennai shook the entire state. Later a youngster named Ramkumar of Meenakshmipuram in Tirunelveli district was arrested as the suspect and kept in Judicial custody. During the trail, Ramkumar also died and the police officers claimed that he committed suicide by biting a live electric wire.
