Barack Obama To Make Final Air Force One Trip To Hometown Chicago

Outgoing US President Barack Obama will take his last flight on Air Force One to his hometown of Chicago to deliver his farewell speech marking the end of his successful eight years of presidency, a top American official has said.

This is also likely to be Obama's final out of town-travel as the 44th President of the United States before he would pass on the baton to Donald Trump at a swearing-in ceremony on January 20.

Barack Obama has rented a house to live in Washington DC for the next two years for his youngest daughter to complete her studies.

His inauguration less than eight weeks away, President-elect Donald Trump was confronted by new developments Saturday in recount efforts in three states pivotal to his Nov. 8 victory, even as he worked to fill foreign policy and national defense jobs in his incoming administration.

The New York billionaire, whose defeat of Democrat Hillary Clinton surprised even some loyalists, has scrambled to fill his Cabinet as the Jan. 20 inauguration approaches. Still, in many ways, he has barely scratched the surface of creating the massive team needed to run the government.

Hillary Clinton Campaign Took Shape In Secret, Hacked Emails Show

Back in early 2014, a media leak revealed Robby Mook was being considered to run a possible presidential campaign by Hillary Clinton.

In fact, the 36-year-old was already on the job -- almost three years before the vote.

"You are right abt a long term press strategy. Need a different voice responding to this stuff," Mook wrote to Cheryl Mills, Clinton's longtime aide, in February 2014.

Mook's message was among the thousands of gmail messages hacked from the account of John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman, and released in recent days by WikiLeaks.

Mr. Obama said Mr. Trump’s crude comments about women would disqualify him from even working in a shop.

At a rally in support of Democratic contender Hillary Clinton, Mr. Obama said it didn’t make sense to denounce Mr. Trump’s controversial remarks while still backing him for the White House.

Many top Republicans have distanced themselves from Mr. Trump over a video in which he boasts of groping women.
