Twenty four Sigiriya tourists hospitalised
Twenty four tourists have been admitted to hospital after being attacked by a swarm of wasps in Sigiriya.
Police stated that the incident took place at around 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 09 and went on to note that 16 local tourists from Bibile and Narammala, as well as seven Chinese tourists and an Italian had been stung.
Explaining further, they noted that the injured were admitted to the Kimbissa Hospital, adding that their condition was not serious.
