250,000 homes without electricity in the Southwest France
A second storm, baptized Leiv, sweeps France this Saturday. Gusts up to 160 km / h are expected.
Storms follow each other and Météo France repeats its warnings. After Kurt , the second episode, baptized Leiv and announced as "exceptional", strikes France this Saturday. Gusts at 148 km / h were recorded.
Three departments are in red vigilance and 16 in vigilance orange for violent wind while more than 250,000 homes are deprived of electricity. Several roads were cut and rail traffic was interrupted between Bordeaux and Paris.
